GIGS Project Group - Second Meeting
The main task was to begin to work out the programme for our Student Conference which will also be in Warsaw from 02 - 06 June this year. This is when 8 students from each of the pilot schools will meet and begin to construct some of the resources that will form the nucleus of the Teacher Toolkit. They will bring with them images, recordings, video clips and other assets collected as they work with younger pupils between now and the end of May. By now most of the older and younger students have completed the baseline survey and we look forward to seeing how their results may have changed when we run the survey again in late May.
We will be using a Field Studies Centre run by our Polish partner organisation and look forward to working together at this event.
This meeting also included an important section on project dissemination and it was impressive to see how schools were promoting the project, not only to their own pupils but also to parents and to other groups.
We welcomed for the first time Jill Ritchie (Global Learning Ltd) to the group. Jill is our External Evaluator and during the meeting she carried out interviews with country groups.
