GIGS Project Group - Fourth Meeting


The fourth project meeting (held 3-4 October) took place in Sweden hosted by the University of Boras. The visit also featured a visit to our partner school - Sandgärdskolan - and to the impressive Science Education Centre in Boras.

We discussed:
  • Completing the eBooks and using our surveys to extract data from the groups of pupils in the partner schools
  • The training courses (Intellectual Output 2). We will plan, trial and evaluate both face to face and online courses plus a blended learning option.
  • The teacher toolkit including curriculum mapping for links between our eBooks and the curricula of each partner country - we are also bring an additional country each into this part of the project
  • We decided to run a Systematic Review of existing academic papers focussed on our project theme. This is in addition to other Academic Outputs (Intellectual Output 5)
  • Finally we began the process of planning the Learning, Teaching and Training Event which will take place in Cyprus in May 2018
