Learning, Teaching and Training Event
Cyprus - May 2018

GIGS Learning, Teaching, Training Event (14 - 18 May 2018)

This 5 day event will be hosted by the project's two Cypriot partners - CARDET and the Grammar School, Nicosia. Most activities will take place at the Grammar School. This LTTE is an important part of the project and will have the following objectives:

  1. To share the learning coming from the pilot in-service training sessions in partner schools and pre-service training in partner universities. To test and evaluate these training models with staff in our Cyprus partner school and potentially with at least one other schools in their network
  2. To plan for the national Multiplier Events which follow a few months later and the international Multiplier Event in April/May 2019
  3. To plan for location, format and person based external experts (STEM/global education/technology)
  4. To plan together a bespoke Key Action 1 course (to go ahead from 2019 onwards) - location, host, trainers, content
  5. To use cultural visits as an opportunity to collect additional resources and case studies

We are very grateful to The Grammar School for hosting the formal sessions and to The KIOS Research Centre, Cyprus (http://www.kios.ucy.ac.cy) for their invitation to visit their institution on Wednesday 16th May.
