Student Workshop: Day 3

Programme for the Day
Day 3 featured a visit to the city of Warsaw. This was planned to incorporate as many of the Global STEM Challenges as possible but also to bring in a reminder about the gender priorities for the project.

The visit included:
  • The roof garden of the University of Warsaw Library (sustainable cities)
  • Global education activities in the grounds
  • A presentation and discussion with female scientists from the Polish satellite team (satellite to be launched later this year)
  • The Copernicus Science Center
  • A screening of 'Planet Earth' in the Planetarium
  • Of course we also gave the students some free time to see the sights!
